Delaware -- September, October 2008

Picture
In September, a pair of team teachers sharing THE SLEDDING HILL with their middle school students in Delaware received a challenge from parents who objected to many elements of the book, including its portrayal of religion and challenge to authorities at school and church.  The teachers sought CC's help and he prepared a defense letter to read at the school board meeting.  After the review was complete, THE SLEDDING HILL was not banned, but parental approval must be sought for class use in the future.
