BANNED BOOKS WEEK 2011
...is sponsored annually by the American Library Association and thousands of school and public libraries all over the country in September. CC's books are often challenged and so are often featured in yearly displays. But this is to celebrate the commitment of the librarians. They are heroes in the battle to our individual freedom to read. We salute them.

Sacramento Public Library -- September 3, 2011
Our library did a display with customized “rap sheet” bookmarks that detail the book’s “crimes” (Printz Honor, Nobel Prize for Literature, etc.) Note the inclusion of Deadline in the opening display. =)
