Bare bones frame of Rob O'Brien's original teaching rubric for using ATHLETIC SHORTS to explore existentialism. It's not complete, by any stretch, but it's the best Rob and I could do. He was a trooper, responding after all these years. Thanks Rob.

Ok, this is one of those Twilight Zone kind of moments that Chris puts in his books. When you e-mailed me this morning, I had just started reading Sledding the Hill, the first of his books I have read in a while. I was remembering the e-mail conversations he and I had about the existentialism thing about five years ago. Then you e-mail me! Pretty freaky, huh?

Anyway, I don't teach English anymore, so I didn't maintain that link. The WASL steered me to teaching history five years ago. I will see if I can dig up the text that I used to have posted on that website.

Rob, what happened to your Stotan study guide? Existentialism in STOTAN! NEW! by Rob'Obrian, West Valley High School http://share105.esd105.wednet.edu/Public/SHARE.cfm?Id_TCHR=81 I had it posted on Chris Crutcher's website, the link, and now it's gone. Can I use the text instead of the link for other teachers who might want it? Thanks.
